\nPart Time Governess, Dubai
\n
\nTHE HOUSEHOLD
\nA private family in Dubai with three children aged twelve, nine and two, who are at school or nursery during the day. Both parents are closely involved: their mother is a full-time, hands-on parent, and their father is equally engaged alongside a busy career. The children already have tutors in place. The family is looking for one dependable person to sit at the centre of their children's school life and keep everything running smoothly in the background.
\n
\nTHE ROLE
\nA part-time Governess position for a capable, organised professional who becomes the family's point of contact for everything to do with the children's schooling and daily structure. You will manage communication with the schools on curriculum, school trips, administration and schedules, and coordinate with the children's tutors and activities, so that the parents are informed without having to chase. Just as important is judgement: knowing when to be present with the family and when to step back and work quietly behind the scenes.
\n
\n— Act as the family's main point of contact with the children's schools
\n— Stay across each child's curriculum, school calendar, trips and administration
\n— Coordinate with the children's existing tutors and keep their schedules aligned
\n— Manage the children's timetables, activities and extracurricular commitments
\n— Keep the parents clearly informed of progress, deadlines and anything that needs attention

\n— Read the room with sensitivity, stepping forward or back as the family needs
\n
\nTHE ESSENTIALS
\n— Dubai, United Arab Emirates
\n— Part-time, with hours to be agreed at a later stage of the process
\n— Most likely after school hours, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for the occasional weekend
\n— No travel required
\n— Salary competitive, dependent on experience
\n
\nTHE CANDIDATE
\nA poised, organised and dependable governess with real experience of family life and school systems. You communicate clearly and professionally, work well without direction, and have the tact to support a hands-on family without taking over.
\n
\n— Proven experience as a governess, nanny or in a similar role looking after school-age children
\n— Native-level English, written and spoken
\n— Confident liaising with schools, teachers and tutors on curriculum, trips and administration
\n— Excellent organisation, with the ability to manage several children's schedules at once
\n— Understanding of child development across a range of ages, from toddler to early teens
\n— Strong judgement and emotional intelligence, with the ability to read a room
\n— Proactive and discreet, comfortable working independently in the background
\n— Flexible about hours and the occasional weekend","datePosted":"2026-11-03","hiringOrganization":{"@type":"Organization","name":"The Private Standard"},"validThrough":"2026-12-03","jobLocation":{"@type":"Place","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressLocality":"Dubai","streetAddress":"Dubai, Dubai, Dubai Emirate, United Arab Emirates","addressRegion":"Dubai Emirate","addressCountry":"United Arab Emirates"}},"employmentType":"PART_TIME","identifier":{"@type":"PropertyValue","name":"The Private Standard","value":"17937178828850062272uoX"},"directApply":true}
